How can the possibilities of the 3D-printing technology be expanded by for example adding heat and air to the process? What can be done to design organic fashion, without any loss of design quality? Can one material replace all traditional materials for making a chair? The winners of the Design and Innovation Prize Gelderland found the answers to these questions during the seventh Green Industry Event at the Industriepark Kleefse Waard (IPKW). The theme of this Event was Design and Technology II.
Roos Meerman won the top prize, the IPKW Award of €7,500, with her project: Aera Fabrica. The jury says her project is a form of fundamental design research and that they were impressed both by her specialist and skilled work and the generalist approach of her research of technological possibilities.
